HONOLULU, HAWAII – The Malaysian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (MSNT) is pleased to participate in the Asia-Pacific Federation for Non-Destructive Testing (APFNDT) Executive Committee (AEC) and Board Members (ABM) meeting, held on May 11, 2026, in conjunction with the 17th APCNDT.

Representing the Malaysian NDT industry, the MSNT delegation joined regional leaders at the Sea Pearl Suite to discuss the future of NDT standards, certification, and cooperation across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Agenda Highlights

The meeting served as a vital platform for MSNT to report on national progress and secure future milestones:

  • Reporting MSNT Progress: A comprehensive update on the society’s recent initiatives and its role in advancing NDT technology in Malaysia.
  • Planning for APCNDT 2029: As the confirmed host for the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (APCNDT 2029), MSNT shared preliminary plans for the upcoming event in Kuala Lumpur, inviting global partners to witness Malaysia’s growth in the sector.
  • IAEA RAS1029 Collaboration: Discussions focused on enhancing NDT capabilities for industrial safety and infrastructure integrity.

Looking Forward

MSNT’s active involvement in the AEC and ABM underscores its commitment to positioning Malaysia as a hub for NDT excellence. By bridging the gap between local expertise and global standards, MSNT continues to ensure that Malaysian NDT professionals remain at the forefront of the industry.
