BANGI, 20 APRIL 2026 – The Malaysian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (MSNT) successfully convened its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 16 April 2026, at the Melati Room, Bangi Resort Hotel.

Held in a warm, festive Aidilfitri spirit, with attendees proudly donning their Baju Raya, the half-day event drew a remarkable turnout. Members traveled from all corners of Malaysia, including the North, South, East Coast, and across the South China Sea from Sabah and Sarawak, demonstrating the strong unity and dedication within the local NDT community.

Landmark Constitutional Amendments
One of the most significant highlights of the 37th AGM was the presentation and unanimous debate on proposed constitutional motions. In a major step forward for youth empowerment in the industry, the assembly officially approved the addition of Article XII, paving the way for the formal establishment of MSNT Student Chapters in Malaysian universities and institutions of higher learning. Furthermore, the definition and application processes for Student Members were streamlined, ensuring greater accessibility for the next generation of NDT professionals.

2025 Award & Recognition Ceremony
The AGM also served as the perfect stage to celebrate industry excellence during the MSNT 2025 Award & Recognition Ceremony. We extend our massive congratulations to all the brilliant winners whose hard work and expertise continue to elevate the standards of our profession.

The Board of Directors would like to record its deepest appreciation to our esteemed industry sponsors:

  • Lott Inspection
  • ITC Skills
  • Altec NDT
  • EWF Group

Your unwavering support and financial commitment were instrumental in making this competition a resounding success, allowing MSNT to continue recognizing outstanding achievements within our community.

New Leadership and Moving Forward
The meeting concluded with the Election of the MSNT Board of Directors for the April 2026 – April 2028 term, followed by an inspiring closing speech by the newly elected MSNT President.

As we close the chapter on a highly successful AGM, the Society’s focus now shifts to the future. MSNT strongly encourages all members and industry practitioners to gear up for the upcoming 8th Malaysia International NDT Conference and Exhibition (MINDTCE), scheduled for 17 – 18 November 2026 at the Sunway Resort Hotel.

The momentum gathered here will also be vital as Malaysia prepares for a massive national milestone: hosting the Asia Pacific Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (APCNDT) in 2029.

To all members who attended, thank you for your active participation, your constructive feedback, and your relentless dedication to the NDT industry. Together, we are building a safer, smarter, and more innovative future.
